Ponderosa in Pennsylvania

"Not bad. They were really welcoming. I’ve come here many times. One time I ordered just an ice water due to be being on hard times but, the waitress asked if I wanted free soda. Really nice of her. Me and my buddies love it up there. I just wish the buffet had some variety. I feel like it’s the same food every time."

"It's well worth the hour drive for us to get there.. It's like hopping in a time machine back to when I was a kid in the 80's and 90's but the food and service is even better! Thankful for this one to still be open and run so so well! Everything is fully stocked, clean, organized, and well kept, the dinners are great, and the staff keeps you in everything you need without even needing to ask. Love it"

"My hubby ABSOLUTELY loves this place!!! I think it is average, but go with him since he loves it so much. We do NOT get steaks because, they really arent worth the money. We do get the buffet as they have a punch card and after 10 punches you get one free We always ask for Adam to be our server, he is FANTASTIC!!"

"Great place! Miss them a lot in New York!! The 10oz center cut sirloin is as tender as a filet. That's not an exaggeration. Been that way consistently for over 10 years. Bring back the previous version of the wings though. Drove an hour out of my way just to go there."

"This is a great resteraunt with a wide range of choices. When I entered the resteraunt, it was very clean and greeted very quickly. I couldn't decide on what to get, so I just went with the buffet. It was quick seating and the same with getting drinks. The buffet had a lot of options, and when I went up, most things were picked over. When I went to get dessert, I noticed everything was stocked, so I must have had bad timing. The food was still good, the meatloaf, Mac and cheese, and chicken wings were tasty. They definitely sat under the lights for a while, but still good. The waitress was very good and tentive. The prices were very reasonable on all of their items. I did not have trouble finding it or getting a parking space. Update 4-4-2023 I stopped for lunch today. It was really busy, but still no wait to be seated. I ordered the country fried steak with baked potato. The food came out very fast, but it was ok. The baked potato was excellent, but the steak needed to be cooked longer. It's still good, but it could have been cooked longer. The buffet was well stocked, and the Mac and cheese were very good. The other food, I think, was under the heat lamp a little too long. The waitress was very tentive, but the staff didn't seem overly happy to be there."

"LOVE Ponderosa!!! Been many, many years since I’ve been to one as none were open where I lived. Great flavor Steaks and an excellent salad bar. Their fried chicken is a phenomenon. Friendly staff too!!!"
